We're here to help

We’re about trying to get you what you need, when you need it. Sometimes that means our trained Corps members can help you themselves. Other times it means our trained Corps members will introduce you to the folks who can help you best. Whether it’s one or the other, we’ll always follow up to make sure you’ve gotten what you need.

Meet our Team

Wes McMahon

Elected to the Chapel Hill Town Council in 2025, Wes brings experience in community organizing, non-profit management, and adult education to the Service Corps. He has worked in refugee programs at the local and national level, most recently with the U.S. State Department until the refugee program was recklessly cut by the Trump administration. He returned to teaching ESL for Durham Tech where he has worked part time for over ten years helping immigrants learn English and connect with needed services. He gained a deep understanding of state level politics and legislative action as a board member on North Carolinians Against Gun Violence (NCGV) and a founding member and first board chair of NCGV Action Fund.
